About King Clarence

King Clarence sets Sydney’s Clarence Street alight with punchy, smoke-laced Asian fusion and an energetic, industrial dining room. Tables fill quickly for crisp fish finger baos and claypot rice scraped right down to the crunchy scorched crust. Chef Khanh Nguyen reimagines heavy-hitting classics—most notably a seafood mapo tofu enriched with royal red prawns and smoked marrow. Group banquets make quick work of roast pork belly and duck tsukune, while the dedicated floor sommelier guides pours of unexpected wines and sake to cut through the chilli heat. Finish with the coconut-doused mango pudding.

  • Curated Sommelier Pairings: Dedicated floor sommelier pairing unconventional regional wines and sakes to rich, spicy profiles.
  • Group-Ready Banquets: Generous banquet menus spotlighting scorched claypot rice, roast pork, and duck skewers.
