About Mjølner Sydney

Hidden behind an unmarked Redfern door, Mjølner delivers a full-throttle Viking feast built around serious butchery and dark timber tavern vibes. Down the stairs, dinner kicks off with a roll of custom blades—pick your weapon before the meat lands. Regulars gravitate toward the venison tartare and roasted bone marrow, followed swiftly by a whiskey shot poured right down the bone. Staff lean right into character in village kit, pouring mead straight into curved drinking horns with a booming Skål. Platefuls of tender beef short ribs, crackling pork belly, and crunchy roasted potatoes keep the tables packed, winding down with a fiery cup of blazing glögg.

  • Weapon selection ritual: Diners choose their own carved steak knife from an ornate presentation roll before the cuts arrive.
  • Drinking horns & immersive crew: House mead and craft brews are poured into curved drinking horns by staff in full Viking dress.
  • Bone marrow whiskey luge: Roasted beef marrow bones double as channels for neat whiskey shots right at the table.
  • Carnivore feast: Heavy tables center on venison tartare, slow-cooked beef short ribs, and crackling pork belly with crispy potatoes.
