About Stuyvesant's House

Fifty years in Crows Nest, Stuyvesant’s House pairs unvarnished front-of-house theater with massive Central European comfort. Brothers Rudi and Max run the floor and kitchen with boisterous table visits, unfiltered jokes, and zero pretense. Regulars lean into the hearty plates—think crisp schnitzels, braised red cabbage, and colossal pork knuckle—before asking for a trip down below. The subterranean cellar holds thousands of vintage bottles, where you might end up sampling decades-old wine straight from the racks alongside warm apple strudel.

  • Theatrical host hospitality: Brothers Rudi and Max anchor the room with boundary-pushing jokes, robust storytelling, and personal table visits.
  • Subterranean vintage cellar: An on-site cellar housing thousands of aged bottles, with personal tours guided directly by the host.
  • Hearty Central European fare: Generous, traditional German and Austrian standards spanning pork knuckle, veal schnitzels, and house-made apple strudel.
