Book NowAbout Edomae Sushi Burwood
Edomae Sushi Burwood serves Tokyo-level nigiri and uncommon seasonal seafood at train speed, skipping the heavy sauces and fine-dining fuss. Belmore Street diners know to queue early for the hybrid setup—grab plates off the moving belt or punch custom orders into the counter iPad. The kitchen avoids mayo-drenched rolls to highlight traditional cuts rarely spotted along local lines, from delicate anago and surf clams to rich sea urchin. Settle into a booth, pour complimentary green tea, and watch the chefs slice fresh kingfish and torch aburi plates right before your eyes.
- Traditional Seafood Focus: Pours focus into traditional Edomae preparation, serving uncommon cuts like anago, surf clams, and uni over heavy sauces.
- Hybrid Ordering Format: Combines immediate conveyor belt grabs with tabletop iPad screens for made-to-order kitchen specialties.

Key Dining Advantages
Why diners choose Edomae Sushi Burwood for authentic Japanese dining
Authentic nigiri without sauce-heavy shortcuts
Dishes showcase unmasked seafood quality and traditional preparation over heavy sauces, mayo, and imitation fillings.
A lovely sushi restaurant that doesn't drown everything in mayo and fake crab sticks and sweet sauce.

Diners can take ready dishes directly from the conveyor belt or order made-to-order specialties straight to the kitchen via touchscreens.
You pick your meals and drinks on the screen, add to cart and send it to the kitchen to make. As well as you can pick the plates on the conveyor belt if you sit by the bar.
Jorge Taconelli Saito (Jimi Loudie) Rare cuts and specialized traditional dishes
The selection features traditional delicacies and uncommon cuts like surf clams and natto maki rarely stocked at local train venues.

At times I honestly felt like I was back in Japan.
