About Middle Head Cafe

Tucked at the edge of national park trails, this family-run outpost pairs classic French bistro cooking with sunny bushland views. Walkers drop in for rich flat whites before setting off along the headland, while lunch regulars settle onto the timber deck over crusty baguettes packed with salty prosciutto, sliced potato, and melted raclette. Dany and Christelle keep the mood warm and easygoing—bringing out tender pulled-beef pies in flaky pastry, delicate sweet crepes, and bowls of seafood chowder.

  • French comfort classics: Family recipes feature flaky pulled-beef and duck pies, fresh crepes, and baguettes stuffed with prosciutto and melted raclette.
  • Trailside deck setting: An open-air terrace sits right by Middle Head walking tracks, catching bush breezes and distant harbour views.
