About Dosa House

Steps from Waitara station, this no-frills shopfront turns out paper plates piled with wafer-crisp dosas, pillowy idlis, and freshly ground coconut chutney. Run by a husband-and-wife team for close to two decades, the kitchen serves homestyle South Indian comfort where nearly everything on the fermented batter menu is naturally gluten-free. Regulars drop in for the paper-thin ghee masala dosai, dunking torn edges into steaming sambar alongside a cup of spiced masala chai.

  • Naturally Coeliac-Friendly: Except for dessert, virtually the entire menu is built on naturally gluten-free fermented rice and lentil batters.
  • Owner-Run Hospitality: A two-person husband-and-wife fixture serving homestyle South Indian cooking for nearly two decades.
  • Unpretentious Station Eatery: Paper plates and bare-bones seating keep the focus on crisp dosas, soft idlis, and hot spiced chai right off the train.
