About Olio

Perched above Kensington Street, Olio delivers a sharp Sicilian escape through seafood-driven tasting menus and warm, exposed-brick intimacy. The kitchen paces multi-course degustations with purpose—pairing squid ink pasta and sweet blue swimmer crab alongside delicate plates of toothfish and wagyu beef. For weddings and milestone parties, the layout transitions easily from open-air terrace ceremonies to lively restaurant dinners. In the dining room, servers debone salt-baked fish tableside and finish the evening by dishing up rich scoops of tiramisu.

  • Multi-Course Sicilian Menus: Eight- and nine-course progressions showcase coastal seafood, wagyu, and signature squid ink pasta with blue swimmer crab.
  • Terrace & Private Events: The adjoining terrace and brick-lined main room accommodate seamless transitions from outdoor ceremonies to full-room dinner parties.
  • Tableside Service: Front-of-house staff fillet whole salt-baked fish and plate fresh tiramisu directly at your table.

Why diners and event hosts choose Olio for Sicilian degustations and celebratory gatherings.

  • Immersive Multi-Course Sicilian Degustation

The signature 8- and 9-course Sicilian tasting menus feature standout dishes such as blue swimmer crab squid ink pasta, cooked toothfish, and cloche-smoked prawn bisque.

We had the 9 course tasting menu and it was well worth it considering the food, service and atmosphere.

  • Adaptable Terrace and Full-Venue Event Space

Guests can reserve the terrace for ceremonies and move indoors for banquets and dancing, with customizable floor plans and dedicated event coordinators.

Our ceremony was held on the terrace, with drinks and dining inside the main restaurant. We had 40 guests so there was plenty of space for dining and dancing.

  • Refined Group Dining Without Heavy Portions

Well-proportioned courses and approachable set lunch menus make the dining room a go-to gathering place for friends and colleagues seeking refined dining without excess heaviness.

The portion sizes are on the smaller side, which I personally love—it means you can try a few different things without feeling too heavy afterward. That makes it especially ideal for a girls' night out or a light, elegant dinner.

Beyond the menu

Memorable hospitality rituals and theatrical presentations observed across guest experiences.

  • Interactive Tableside Seafood Preparation

Staff de-bone traditional salt-baked fish tableside and assemble fresh seafood pasta right before guests.

  • Discreet Terrace Staging for Surprise Moments

To preserve a couple's surprise wedding reveal, the team obscured the terrace from guest view until the ceremony announcement.

  • Cloche-Smoked Course Presentation

A prawn bisque course is unveiled under a cloche at the table, releasing dramatic aromatics and smoke.

  • Attentive Limoncello Hospitality Gesture

When pacing slowed between courses, the dining room manager promptly poured complimentary limoncello to attend to guests.
