Glebe Point Road gets a jolt of real Colombo heat with blistered kottu roti and bowl-shaped hoppers fresh off the flame. Regulars point newcomers toward the crisp-edged egg hoppers paired with aromatic Ceylon chicken curry, or the massive rice and curry platters built for two. Staff steer first-timers comfortably through the spice levels, making room for families pushing strollers down the wide dining room. The kitchen even turns out wok-tossed hot butter cuttlefish alongside warm mugs of palm toddy.
