Should a solo visitor spend two of four Sydney days on full-day tours?

I am considering the Blue Mountains and Hunter Valley before a cruise but also want to see the city.

If walking and scenery are the priority, compare Blue Mountains tour routes and time at lookouts. If food and wine are the priority, compare Hunter Valley groups and how much of the day is spent in the vehicle.
