Is a ferry, walk and lunch in Balmain a good Sydney half-day?

I know the major Sydney sights already and have four days on a return visit, so I want a relaxed neighbourhood outing if the weather cooperates.

    Yes, use the ferry ride as part of the experience, then allow time to wander rather than treating Balmain as a single restaurant stop. Choose lunch from current menus once you know where you will walk.
