Look at the park's current animal list, encounter rules and journey time from your hotel. 'Wildlife park' can still involve managed enclosures, so match expectations to the actual experience.
Cards and contactless payments cover many city purchases, but keep a small backup amount for a vendor or a payment terminal outage. Check your bank's overseas transaction fees before the trip.
Build in a backup for disrupted service and verify the last convenient return. A day trip works best with one or two nearby villages or lookouts, not a long checklist.
Search current menus near the beach or suburb you will visit, then call to ask which curry bases contain dairy or ghee. A vegetable dish is not automatically vegan.
Consider a short stay near Darling Harbour or Surry Hills if evening dining is the priority. Check recent noise reviews before trading quiet for activity.
Ask the hotel to hold your bags, then choose one compact activity near a reliable airport train route. This keeps the afternoon flexible and avoids carrying luggage around.
Compare coverage where you will actually travel, not only the airport price. Download the hotel address and transport route before flying.
Tell the hotel your arrival time and confirm late check-in. Check whether breakfast or a morning airport shuttle is included so the next day stays simple.
Compare complete prices, not daily rates: include the train to the airport, fuel, tolls, extra driving and branch hours. Airport fees can also appear in the quote.
Check the airline's current bag-drop deadline and change policy. If the tickets are separate, the second airline may have no obligation to rebook you after a missed connection.
Kiama can make an easier town-and-coast day if you prefer cafes and shorter walks. Compare train time with a rental car before setting your pace.
Choose the hotel by the walking route from a station and the meals you want at night. Early check-in is never guaranteed; ask about bag storage and a day room if rest is essential.
