About Wakehurst Golf Club

Carved from an old rock quarry above Seaforth, this public course drops players straight into rugged native bushland without the private-club pretension. Every secluded hole challenges shot-making across natural sandstone features, streams, and rolling greens. Regulars know to hire a cart for the steeper climbs—then head straight upstairs to the dog-friendly balcony for classic fish and chips, cold beer, and sweeping views over Manly Dam.

  • Quarry-Carved Bushland Layout: Publicly accessible 18-hole layout cut into former quarry terrain with secluded fairways and sandstone hazards.
  • Scenic Balcony Clubhouse: Overlooks the fairways and Manly Dam with casual meals, cold drinks, and dog-friendly outdoor seating.

Before you head over

Essential practical advice for booking, dining times, and navigating your round at Wakehurst Golf Club.

  • Plan for Early Kitchen Cutoffs

The kitchen closes meal service at 3:30pm, though bar snacks and beverages continue to be available later in the afternoon.

  • Watch for Wildlife While Dining

Local birds frequently target unattended plates on the open balcony; reserve a seat inside the adjoining glass-covered room if you want undisturbed dining.

  • Allow Ample Arrival Time and Consider a Cart

Strict tee schedules leave little leeway for traffic delays around Spit Bridge, and the course's quarry-carved terrain makes renting a golf cart strongly advisable.
