About The Grounds Coffee Factory

Sip single-origins inside a cavernous Eveleigh railway shed where overhead pipes funnel beans straight across the room. Housed in the historic locomotive workshop’s former cafeteria, the space balances high-octane warehouse energy with serious specialty craft. Patrons pack long tables for weekend brunch—think fluffy hot cakes, pork shoulder ragu ravioli, and buttery croissants—while guided cupping tours unpack bean cultivation, washing processes, and precision French press ratios. A roving cake cart wheels by with fresh desserts just as the next batch of green coffee beans drops into the roaster.

  • Educational Coffee Cupping: Staff-led tasting sessions explore bean cultivation, roast profiles, and hands-on cupping.
  • Working Overhead Roastery: Active roastery transport pipes channel roasted beans overhead across the high-ceilinged dining room.
  • Heritage Locomotive Workshop: Occupies the historic railway workers' cafeteria inside Eveleigh's locomotive workshop.
