Run by female Afghan refugees, this MetCentre lunch counter trades in hearty street fare where every meal funds two for people in need. CBD workers squeeze onto tiled communal benches for chewy housemade flatbread wraps stuffed with spiced grilled chicken, pickled cabbage, and fiery green chilli chutney. Platefuls of maash palaw rice arrive heaped alongside spiced lamb patties, cucumber salad, and garlicky mint labneh.
