What happens when connecting from an international Sydney arrival to a Hobart flight?

Book a connection with a buffer that matches the airline's current minimum connection rules and your risk tolerance. A separate ticket needs more margin and a missed-flight plan.

Allow time for immigration, baggage, customs or biosecurity, terminal transfer and another security check. Do not assume you remain airside after entering Australia.

Confirm with both airlines whether the bags are through-checked and where you must collect them. International arrival procedures and the domestic transfer depend on the ticket and carrier.
