How much buffer does a separate-ticket international connection need at Sydney Airport?

Carry-on only can reduce one task, but choose a longer connection if missing the onward flight would be costly.

Include immigration, bag collection, check-in and security in the timing; premium cabin access does not erase all steps.

Ask both airlines whether bags can be transferred and whether the second ticket is protected if the first flight is late.
