How can we avoid a surprise fare from Sydney Airport to the CBD?

If the final charge differs, use the operator's in-app fare review and keep the trip receipt rather than assuming the headline estimate included every fee.

Compare the train's airport station fee and the fare for your whole party with a taxi or rideshare; the cheapest choice changes with group size and destination.

Check the app's final fare details, toll treatment and airport pickup charges before confirming, and save a screenshot of the quote.
