About Da Franco Concord

Expect unhurried hospitality and soulful, home-style Italian cooking run personally by Franco and his family. The Concord dining room operates like a classic trattoria—welcoming tables with eclectic decor, low-key BYO wine, and an old-school chalkboard specials list. Regulars head straight for the heaping bowls of al dente spaghetti marinara packed with fresh prawns, crab, and mussels, or show up mid-week for the Wednesday mixed seafood platter. Lingering dinners finish with warm slices of freshly baked ricotta cake.

  • Family-run hospitality: Owner Franco and his family cook, serve, and chat with diners throughout the evening.
  • Wednesday seafood platter: Generous platters loaded with calamari, BBQ prawns, octopus, and fish draw mid-week diners.
  • Old-school BYO dining: Chalkboard specials pair with low-corkage BYO wine for long, relaxed group dinners.

  • Unhurried Feasts for Groups and Celebrations

An unhurried dining pace allows large parties and friends to linger over multi-hour meals without pressure to turn the table.

A great evening for our party of 6, stretching to 3 hours. Not because service was slow; because we didn’t want to leave!

Attentive family hospitality and thoughtful gestures that make dining feel like being welcomed into an Italian home.

Owner Frank takes the time to personally step out from the dining room kitchen to converse with guests and celebrate special milestones like anniversaries.

  • End-of-Night Table Visits

Rather than rushing guests out at closing time, Franco and Luciana sit down with tables at the end of the evening to chat once other patrons have departed.

The kitchen welcomes guests with complimentary Italian bread served alongside olive oil and balsamic vinegar as they settle into their meal.

Before you head over

Practical tips on bookings, timing, and parking for your visit to Da Franco Concord

  • Book Ahead for Prime Nights

The dining room is intimate and fills up quickly, especially on busy nights like the Wednesday seafood special, so reserving a table ahead of time is strongly recommended.

  • Allow Time for Made-to-Order Dishes

Because dishes are made to order from scratch by a family kitchen, plates may take twenty minutes or slightly longer to arrive during peak rushes—plan for an unhurried dinner.

  • Park on Ada Street Behind the Venue

The restaurant fronts a clearway on Parramatta Road, so street parking on the main strip is restricted; head around back to Ada Street or nearby side streets for easy parking.
